Grocery Shopping This Past Week = $23.21

I made lots of random quick trip to County Market this week, so nothing big to be pictured here this week.

County market trip #1: 12.48
I was excited to see yogurt marked down to $0.25/container! We had lots of tomatoes from grandma's garden, so I picked up some bacon for some BLT sandwiches.

County Market Trip #2: $7.73
"Millions of peaches, peaches for me..." - We are slowly teaching our boys that song, because they are eating peaches like they're going out of style!

And then not pictured:
Walgreens: $3.00 spent on Twizzlers Pull-n-Peels!

Total spent on groceries this week: $23.21. This is out of $50/week budgeted for groceries in our household. Last week I over spent, so week we were making up for it.

CVS & Walgreens

Pudge and I went to CVS and Walgreens this morning and here's what we got for $9.06:

We also got $2.77 ECB (Extra Care Bucks) from CVS, and $2 RR (Register Rewards) from Walgreens. So, I will use that on our next trip there.

If you're curious where I get my deals from, I check out Coupon STL's blog every week!

Walgreens Run = $1.25

I was excited to see a deal on Children's Medicine this week, especially since our kids have been sick all week with a fever and cough.

Here's what I snagged at Walgreens for only $1.25:

For more information on this deal, check out MoneySavingMom's post on how to get this medicine for real cheap.

Grocery Shopping this Week = $25.42

I just wanted to post really quick on my grocery spending this week. I've been staying away from the grocery stores, even though I've been wanting to go in. I felt that this week I needed to take a step back and just see what we could use from our pantry. Here's where I went:

County Market = $21.67

Schnucks = $2.68
Okay, this isn't the healthiest photo, but a woman's gotta have her chocolate!

Walgreens = $1.07
After using an in-store coupon and a manufacturer coupon, these cans of soup cost $0.33 each!

For the past month, I've been going a little over our $40/week budget. So this week definitely gets me caught up with those weeks I went over.

Grocery Shopping Trip = $38.65

Here's what I picked up from the store this week for groceries. We have a budget of $40/week on groceries, and I feel that if I post what I bought for every week, I will be more accountable to that. Check it out!

Meijer = $29.56
They had a great deal on yogurt, and the sausage was marked down to 25% off.

The cashier I had was not very nice with my coupons and questioned each one I gave her. Boo.

Walgreens = $1.07
Olives were $0.99 after the in-ad coupon. The snickers were a filler, and I used Register Rewards to pay for most of my total.

County Market = $8.02
I got a great deal on the juice. They were only $0.50 each, because I had a BOGO coupon and also a $1 off 2 coupon. My cashier took both of them, making them $0.50 each.

The Nut Crisps were for a mail in rebate, and I found out I bought the wrong kind. So I'll have to get the right kind next time.

CVS = Spent $5.14 out of pocket, got $6 in Extra Care Bucks:
I didn't total this into my grocery budget, since we don't technically "eat" toothpaste, but I thought I'd show you what I got anyway.

Total spent for this week's grocery was $38.65.

January 13, 2011

Grocery shopping this week = $26.28

As I promised myself, I would only go to the grocery store this week if I really needed to. So that is why our usual $40 budget is way under.

Walgreens = $0.90
I picked up a couple of other non-grocery items, so with Register Rewards I had, we only spent $0.90 on eggs this week!

Schnucks = $5.13
If you haven't already read my post on how to get some cheap or even free cereal this week, click here to read more details. When I get my rebate back in the mail, I'll have only spent $0.13 on these 5 boxes of cereal!

County Market = $17.58
I had two different trips to C.M. this week, one was by me, pictured below, the other was by my husband. I didn't get a photo of that one. So that is why our total from C.M. is more that what is pictured below.

That's all for now!

Grocery Shopping this week = $53.62

If you ever need bread and are in Champaign, make sure you stop at Big Lots (the one located on Springfield) first! I went there on Monday and they had a whole cart full of bagels, buns, tons of bread!! The were only $1 a bag! Granted they do expire within a couple of days, but just throw them in the freezer and they will keep. I promised myself that I will never buy regular bread at the store now that I know Big Lots secret.

Big Lots and Dollar General = $ 10.04

County Market = $38.74

Lots of good in-store coupons that I used. If you bought 5 items of Knorr, then you got $2.50 off of meat. Each Knorr item was $1.

We love Mona's noodles, so I was excited to see that the tortellini and egg noodles were on sale this week.

Walgreens = $4.84

I had a manufacturer coupon for both the eggs and the Jello pudding.

Overall we try to stick with our $40 grocery budget, but this week I think I got a little excited about the bread at Big Lots. I spent a total of $53.62. Yikes! I'll be taking some of next weeks budget to cover this week.

Thanks for looking!

Grocery shopping this week = $40.79

This week was interesting for grocery shopping. I've been kinda under the weather, because I got 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled on Monday. So I stocked up on more soft items like applesauce and yogurt and bananas.

Pudge wanted to be in this photo of County Market's trip. Total here we spent $29.68.

We stopped at County Market again today (Friday) because they were having a 48-hour sale. The Hungry Man was on sale for $2.29 and I had 2 ($2) coupons. So they were pretty cheap. We stocked up on more bananas and the cottage cheese was only $0.99! We're going to try to freeze one for lasagna later.

We also recently baked and pureed all our pumpkins, so we have about 10 lbs. in our freezer....so the whipped cream and cream cheese is to help us consume the pumpkin!

Total for picture below $9.65.

Below is a picture from Walgreens. I spent only $1.46 for the items below. I used up a couple of Register Rewards that I had been saving, so that's why I got the total so low.

Total spent this week on Groceries = $40.79. Not too bad!

October 29, 2010

Grocery shopping this week = $32.63

Meijer = $10.40

Target = $ 3.58
(I know, Zingers?? My husband went shopping with and he had a craving for them.)

County Market = $11.21
My boys go through apples like candy, so when I saw that apples were $0.88/lb., I stocked up!

Walgreens = $7.44 got $10.25 back in Register Rewards

Total Spent for this week = $32.63

Walgreens Run

Walgreens = $6.49

Got back $10.50 Register Rewards!!!
This might have been my best Walgreens shopping ever! Plus, I will be giving the Campbell's Labels for Education to our church, so it's a win-win situation.

Walgreens Run

This Walgreens trip was exciting and nerve wrecking at the same time. See, I like to take my time and make sure that all my coupons are in order before I got to the cashier.

I took the time to try to do a $5 Walgreens trip, basing all my information on Coupon STL $5 trip to Walgreens. It's alot of work and patience, especially when there is a line forming behind you.

I really wanted to get the deal with the FREE Pantene Shampoo and Conditioner, because I was running out of conditioner.

The Walgreens Halloween stickers were fillers when I needed an extra item to fill the coupon gap.

Total spent for the items above: $7.09, and I have $5 Register Rewards for next week.

September 24, 2010

Walgreens Run

Went to Walgreens today to pick up some free Carmex and Trident gum:

Spent $3.44 and got back $2 in Register Rewards. I used the M&Ms for a filler, because Walgreens only lets you use one coupon per item.

Here's the link for the Carmex coupon. And here's the link for the Trident gum.

Grocery shopping this week = $40.97

This week I went a little crazy going to lots of different stores for groceries. It was fun though because I took a couple weeks off of grocery shopping, so it feels good to get back into the swing of things.

Target = $9.61

Meijer = $21.43

The cheese was on sale 3/$6, and I had two coupons for $5 off 5 cheese, from Kraft. Great coupon!!

Walmart = $1.38

Schnucks = $2.25

I grabbed these out of the discount cart.

Walgreens =$1.30 (for the Ragu)

Other items are not grocery-budgeted.

Total spent = $40.97

I went $0.97 over our estimated budget. I will remember that for next week and factor that in. Did you score any deals this week?

July 23, 2010

2 weeks of groceries = $63.26

Last week we were without internet, so I wasn't able to post what we grocery shopped for, so this week will be a combined effort. Since we have only $40/week budgeted for our groceries, $63.26 is excellent and much needed wiggle room for weeks that I've gone over $40/week.

So last week IGA had a great weekend deal on meat. So I held off on shopping till then. Pictured below is some of the meat that we got for $9.08.

Pictured below is from Target. Spent $1 total for these pizza singles. Used 2 $2 off coupons.

Pictured below is from Walgreens. If you bought 2 boxes from Kellogg's, you got $2 register rewards. So combined with some coupons, I scored the items below for $2.50.

Pictured below is another stop at IGA. If you bought 2 boxes of any Helper, you got $1 off meat. So I used that deal towards the $0.99 packages of ham, plus on the packages of ham were $0.55 off coupon, making each package only $0.44, making a $0.22 profit!! I was so excited about that find! Total spent $7.89.

Pictured below is our 1/2 share from our CSA (Community Shared Agriculture). Just wanted to let you know that we were getting food from them as well each week.

Pictured below is my stop at County Market. They also had a weekend deal on General Mills and meat. The package of chicken cost me $5.15!! And each cereal box cost me $0.88/box! That's a steal! (Granted, I did have to make 3 different transactions to get all those cereals). Everything else pictured was $1 or less. Total spent for the items below $22.61.

Pictured below is our trip to Aldi's for some staple food that we needed to stock up on. Our total came to $20.09.
That's it for the past couple weeks. How did you do this week?

Del Monte Pineapple = $2.99, used $0.50 coupon = $2.50

Walgreens = $1.15
Rice Krispies = 2/$5, used 2 $1 off coupons = got $2 RR = $0.50/box
Edy's Ice Cream = 2/$5

Grocery shopping this week = $40.93

Grocery shopping this week seemed okay. Nothing too exciting, but I wanted to post what I got, because I know it helps keep me accountable with my budget.

Pictured below is from IGA. They had a good deal on 90% lean ground meat, so we made sure to pick some up. And the cheese was 2/$3. Total spent below was $5.63.

Pictured below is our trip to Aldi's. We picked up some staple items that we needed to restock our pantry. The peaches were a quarter each!! Total spent below was $23.67.

Pictured below is an awesome trip to County Market (same as last week!). The Wheatables were pretty much free, because they were $2/box and on some boxes there was a pull coupon for BOGO free, and I stacked that with 2 $1/off coupons. Total spent below was $10.15!!

Pictured below are some items I picked up at Walgreens. I used coupons for these and also used some Register Rewards that I got earlier that week. Total for below items cost $1.48.

Total spent for this week's groceries is a grand total of $40.93! Not too bad!
